Shannon Brown is a man on a mission.  This past weekend his Woodstar Music Festival featured: Monica, Estelle, Fantasia, Robin Thicke, Dawn Richard, Sway, Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick, Naughty By Nature, Mc Lyte.  The festival is dedicated to supporting the Shannon Brown Foundation.

It’s just basically giving back to the kids,” he tells N’DIGO. “Two of the most important things in my life are basketball and music so we decided to bring those two things together and bring some positive stuff to the city to provide things for the kids, where they can be successful in their lives as far as our scholarships and computers and stuff like that … give them that extra push that they need to make something great out of their lives.”
